Return of color

I realized how odd my previous post was because there was a dearth of color.  The drawings happened to be in pencil and the MOO was in black gel pen and they all ended up in the same blog post.

Color hit:

Cherry

I love line work and inevitably I will doodle this sort of squiggle:

Loopy :-)

MOO time:

Left brain... good :-)

Time for some COLOR :-)

The other day I was out for a brief walk with Remy.  It was a blustery day, a bit chilly, with dried leaves and bare branches in gray and taupe.

Undoubtedly this is why, when I returned to my studio,  I was in the mood for colorful flowers and fruit (an apple and a couple of pears).  I brought out some Copic markers and ink pads to spread some color :-)

Copic markers and ink.

Ink.

I feel better now :-)

Personal palette

A couple of months ago I began experimenting with my color palette.  Then coincidentally Lynn's May lesson (for Year of the Spark) is about defining one's personal palette.

I doodled my current color palette:

Created under the influence of a rain-soaked Spring :-)
