Time for some COLOR :-)

The other day I was out for a brief walk with Remy.  It was a blustery day, a bit chilly, with dried leaves and bare branches in gray and taupe.

Undoubtedly this is why, when I returned to my studio,  I was in the mood for colorful flowers and fruit (an apple and a couple of pears).  I brought out some Copic markers and ink pads to spread some color :-)

I feel better now :-)

I call it MOO :-)

I love to write and play with words and phrases.  Thoughts come to mind.  I usually draw them using all sorts of mark-making tools and they can be found on random practice sheets or in notebooks/sketchbooks.

I thought I would share this one that came out of my sketchbook today:

I call it MOO which is an acronym for My Own Observations.

Laughing at myself

Busy playing around with pens and inks and doodling words and thoughts, I realized that I really couldn’t see what I was writing.  Huh?

Unbeknownst to me the light coming through the window had faded and evening was upon us.  Remy, my golden, didn't care; he was snoozing in his favorite spot under my work table.

I had to laugh at myself because I literally was sitting in the semi-darkness attempting to work and this is what it looked like:

So today in the morning light I thought I’d make a reminder of a funny situation:

Capture the silliness :-)
